Welcome back to school - we hope you've had a lovely, fun-filled Summer Holiday and are coming back to school ready and raring to go!
This half term we will be learning about Space! This will include learning about our Solar System, the history of space travel, various key figures within the space-field and also posing our own questions that we want to find out about. Our English work will be based around this topic and we will be writing diary entries, newspapers and information texts using the information we find out.
In Maths we will be concentrating on developing our reasoning skills while also practising our methods for the 4 operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Towards the second part of the half term we will be learning about fractions, decimals and percentages.
Our trip to the National Space Centre will take place on Tuesday 16th October 2018 - please ensure you are in school for 8.30am on this day as we will be leaving at 8.45am.
You will also need to bring a packed lunch with you (or order a 'grab bag' in advance).
We are really looking forward to working with you this year, see you bright and early on Tuesday!
Miss Zadrozny and Mrs Brailsford
